A Morning of Pilates, Yoga, Pastries and Coffee: Our Wellness Fundraiser

On a drizzly Sunday morning in February, the centre buzzed with people, armed with yoga mats, ready for a day of relaxing and resetting: all dedicated to raising funds for the centre.

Instructor Georgia kicked things off with a hardcore Pilates session, getting our muscles activated (and a serious sweat on). It’s safe to say we were ready for the cool-down yoga session - led by the wonderful Kitty.

After the session, we settled in for fresh coffee and herbal teas donated by our friends at Illy and Camelia’s Tea House, and fresh pastries thanks to Cater London.

Many people who visit us comment on the calming energy that is felt throughout the whole centre, and we think this is due to the day-to-day healing that takes place at Refettorio Felix.

This is what we wanted to emanate through our wellness morning: positive energy, with a big focus on grounding and togetherness.

We want to extend our gratitude to everyone that came to this fundraiser and those that couldn’t make it and still donated. We’d also like to thank the brilliant companies who helped us create a really special goodie bag for all the attendees: Vitl, Zooki, LIHA Beauty, Grass and Co and Teff.

You can watch a clip from the day here.

If you’re interested in hosting a wellness morning, or any other type of fundraising event at the centre, please email megan@stcuthbertscentre.org.uk.
