Lunch service

At the core of Refettorio Felix is the three-course lunch served here every weekday in our beautiful and welcoming dining hall. Our guests can expect a daily changing menu of outstanding quality, often cooked by chefs from some of London’s most exclusive restaurants, served by a team of enthusiastic volunteers who are always ready with a smile and a helping hand.

Indoor dining

Each weekday, people from many different walks of life gather in our dining hall to experience restaurant-like hospitality that they would otherwise be excluded from, for financial or other reasons. We serve a starter, main course and dessert with a hot drink, all created from surplus ingredients donated by The Felix Project that would otherwise go to landfill. Our chefs aim to provide for different dietary needs, as well as cooking a diverse range of food that takes inspiration from around the world.

Our indoor dining service runs from 12PM - 2PM Monday - Friday.

Takeaway service

During the UK Covid-19 lockdown, we began an emergency takeaway service, feeding up to 800 people every day at the height of the pandemic. Since then, we’ve recognised the continuing demand for takeaways as more people face hardship as consequence of the pandemic and the socioeconomic landscape of the UK today. The takeaway service is now a permanent feature of our service provision, enabling us to support a growing number of people in our community.

Our takeaway service runs from 12PM - 1PM Monday to Friday.

We run on a first-come-first-serve basis, though we try our absolute best to make sure those who visit us can eat something - even if it requires some improvisation! We have an open-door policy and there are no special requirements for you to have lunch with us. You don’t need to call ahead if you want to refer someone to our lunch service, though please advise clients of our opening hours.

If you have any questions about our lunch service, please feel free to contact us by calling +44 020 7835 1389 or by emailing info@stcuthbertscentre.org.uk

The delicious and gorgeously presented plates leaving the kitchen each day are a testament to how much value and potential is lost through our food system today. Transforming in-date yet unsellable ingredients, we hope to provide a vital solution to hunger whilst fighting our culture of excess and waste that have led to our position of environmental crisis. Our informal, relaxed atmosphere invites our guests to open up and share their story whilst enjoying a nutritious meal.
