Summer Supper Club

Last week we celebrated Refettorio Felix’s 5th anniversary at our Summer Supper Club fundraiser - and what better an opportunity than this to introduce our now not-so-new Head Chef, Iulia Nonu!

Whilst we’ve got a rich history of supper clubs through our previously quarterly Season’s Surplus fundraisers, run by Brett Graham of The Ledbury, this was the first of our in-house events held since the pandemic and, to be honest, we really weren’t sure what to expect. But thanks to a huge amount of generosity, enthusiasm and collaboration from our supporters and team, we were able to enjoy a fabulous evening that’s made us really excited for more to come.

We started the evening with a parmigiano cracking demonstration by Simone Ficarelli from the Consortium of Parmigiano Reggiano, visiting us all the way from Modena, along with Food For Soul co-founder, Lara Gilmore. Highlights from Chef Iulia’s 6-course menu included an exquisite gochujang grilled mackerel with garlic scapes and an Ethiopian Berbere spiced beef shin. Electrifying Earl’s Court superstar, Toby Brown, hosted our auction of amazing prizes, featuring a wild fire cooking experience in the Scottish highlands with Chef Bruce Clyne-Watson, the tasting menu at Massimo Bottura’s Osteria Francescana and many more fabulous foodie treats.
